PRODUCTS

Our production range goes from ½" up to 72", and all the mechanical processing is carried out internally.

Our staff is able to perform turning, drilling and milling operations up to Ø2,000 mm and 1,200 mm in height.

With our welding plant we are able to make overlays in the mainly materials used: we have spent tons of hours for achieving more than 40 PQR-WPS both in ASME and in EN+PED!

Last but not least, with the installation of a massive saw machine we can do also the flex cut on obturators up to 36" in-house, in this way we can save lots of days and reduce the delivery time.

SURFACE TREATMENTS

These treatments are carried out by qualified suppliers.

- Nickel surface treatment is essential to protect steel from oxidation; the thickness of the surface treatment ranges from 25 up to 75 microns, with a hardness from 500-600 HV up to 800-900 HV.

- Tungsten carbide coating (TCC) is necessary to achieve excellent adhesion resistance, high microhardness and density through the HVOF method; if required, we can adapt the seat to the corresponding ball.

METAL TO METAL SEATS

A type of seat that Kirmek produces is based on the use of a hard insert in the groove of the sealing area.
The typical materials used are: PTFE enriched with various materials, DEVLON ®, PEEK, NYLON 6 MOS 2, KEL-F.

The choice of material depends on:
-the temperature,
-the pressure,
-the fluid that passes through the piping.

They represent the core business of Kirmek.

Kirmek has designed and manufactured the molds for the production of DELTA RINGS and V-RINGS in FKM, FKM LT, HNBR compounds with AED (Anti Explosive Decompression) certification, all designed in-house.

After the production of the delta rings, these ones are assembled in the seats in house, in order to avoid any possibility of extrusion when the valve is in operation.
It is important to emphasize that all seats with soft inserts are perfectly interchangeable with those of competitors.

This type of seat is used in the case of corrosive and/or abrasive fluids, simultaneously in the presence of high temperatures and pressures.
For this reason, Kirmek applies coatings on the sealing surface, in different types of materials, such as STELLITE and INCOLOY.

In addition to seats, Kirmek has increased the production of other components, in particular OBTURATORS, including their assembly in the valve bodies.
Over the years, Kirmek has produced hundreds of obturators from 2" up to 60"!
Kirmek Srl is able to supply other valve components, such as BALLS, DISCS, TRIMS, SEGMENT RINGS and BONNETS.

Kirmek can also produce:

- Rubber-metal molding, for the naval and maritime sector;

- Threaded rings for the energy sector, with extremely tight tolerances.

Kirmek can offer seat + ball kits:
the grinding of the balls is carried out by qualified suppliers, while the mechanical process is performed internally.
